Danielle (Caroline) Bakker (1988)
artist/composer
As an artist and composer, I am devoted to (self-)healing through intuitive, emotional, and authentic self-expression. I experience art and music as the most natural ways to feel, process, grow, and connect – with myself and with others. When I create or play, I enter a deep listening space, guided by what moves within. I don’t aim to fix or perfect – I let myself be. And from there, something true often emerges. Those who feel a resonance are warmly invited to reconnect with themselves too – gently, at their own pace.
Roots in healing and self-development
A deep fascination with – and intrinsic need for – healing personal, generational, ancestral and collective trauma and the resulting development of consciousness, has led me on a spiritual and artistic journey through pedagogy, sociology, (holistic) therapy, and astrology – ultimately guiding me to intuitively express and heal both myself and others through my favourite therapeutic channels; art and music.
In 2014, I graduated in Pedagogy at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA) and completed a pre-master’s program in Sociology at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). Driven by a deep search for meaning and purpose, I received my reiki master initiation in 2020 and completed a two-year training at Zoma in 2021 as a holistic therapist. In 2020 I followed a one-year training in Do-In yoga – an intuitive and healing form of (body) movement on all holistic levels; physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual. Since 2018, I’ve been exploring the field of astrology, both as an autodidact and through formal study at Caelestis, School for Astrology, Consciousness & Spirituality in Utrecht, where I studied for two and a half years.
Soul’s path
Astrology mirrored a deep inner knowing in me: my North node in Pisces (10th house) invites me to live from softness, intuition, music, creativity and healing – publicly, as a calling. This means letting go of old patterns like structure, control, routine, needing to ‘fix’ myself and others, over-analyzing, perfectionism, over-responsibility, compulsive helpfulness, people-pleasing etc. (South node in Virgo) and both familiar and family roles and dynamics, my past, emotional containment etc. (4th house) – by trusting the unknown flow of life instead.
My Virgo south node has gifted me with talents in practical, precise, and hands-on service in day-to-day home and work life – creating order, attending to details, and supporting others with care and responsibility. These qualities remain part of me, but they’re no longer the compass – for me, balancing these Virgo energies means letting them become tools in service of something greater (Pisces).
My Pisces North node calls me to develop a more intuitive, compassionate, and unconditional service – as an offering to the collective, through presence, rituals, emotional and spiritual healing and loving support from the heart. It asks me to surrender, to feel, and to become a channel for healing through music, art and spirituality / presence. To bring beauty, peace, softness and healing into the world – less by doing, more by being. From that safe, aligned, centered place in myself inspirered action naturally will occur. And for it is about finally finding my sense of home in that. And sharing that sense of home, holiness and belonging with others as well.
Holistic practice and approach
From 2020 to 2024, I worked as a (holistic) therapist, healer from my home practice, helping others reconnect with themselves through a wide range of healing tools: body-based trauma work, energywork, breathwork, emotional freedom technique (EFT, tapping), inner child work, family constellations, astrology, Do-In Yoga, regression therapy, hypnosis, tarot, (visualization) meditation, shadowwork and Past Reality Integration (PRI). At the heart of all these methods was the same intention: to come home to who we truly are.
Spiritual and artistic journey
Since 2022, art and music have increasingly become my main practice. My spiritual journey has naturally flowed into artistic and musical forms. They have become my primary intuitive languages for integrating, expressing, and sharing what lives in or through me and longs to move. They help me return to myself, and often offer others that same safe space – of home, calm, rest, healing and growth.
